M Large Tree Services Ltd was founded in 1970 by MD Michael Large. The company has continued to grow over the years and is now one of the longest established and most reputable tree work companies in the UK.
With the experience, skills and specialised equipment, M Large can cover all aspects of work.
The company also has a highly successful track record in working with both Private and Public sectors including Governmental, Local Authority and Commercial clients throughout Northern Ireland.
Machinery Sales
M Large is the UK and Irelands Forestry Equipment Distributors for Hakki Pilke Firewood Processors, Palms Forestry Trailers and Cranes, Greenmech Woodchippers and Thor Logsplitters.
Supplying equipment to private, commercial and government customers.
In response to customer requests, M Large developed a log buster and an excavator mounted tree shear under our LMS brand in 2008. Both are manufactured in Northern Ireland by a subcontracted engineering company.
In 2015 M Large also became the dealer for Atlas Cranes in Northern Ireland, and have an agreement in place with Martin Williams to look after Effer Cranes in Northern Ireland.
Tree Surveys
Having specialised in Tree Surveys for many years, and with our in-house fully qualified and experienced Arboriculturalist teams, we are confident that we can provide the best Tree Survey and Tree Consultancy services available. Our highly experienced and qualified team hold Degree level qualifications in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Forest Products Technology and Urban Forestry and they have developed a detailed and extensive knowledge of the local planning process and of the unique tree health and landscape history pertaining to Northern Ireland.
Timber Products
M Large supply Firewood and Woodchip mulch as a by-product of tree felling and pruning operations.
Firewood is sold as a mixture of hardwoods or a mixture of softwoods and Woodchip mulch is sold a different grades.
Both products are sold by volume rather than weight and can be supplied loose or bagged. They can be bought in bulk or can be also be purchased in small bags, ideal for the boot of your car!
Firewood and Woodchip mulch is always available from the depot in Newtownabbey and is supplied to both public and private customers.
